1) Who am I? [10] Tough question.
With the myriad of personalities we all come across each day,
Its not difficult to find yourself lost in some other identity.
Some people try to mask their true personality with another.
Some people try to be some other person.
Some people dont realise that they are not themselves.
Some people just dont care.
And there are people who stick to being themselves all e time.
I have to say.
Being yourself is e hardest of them all.
With e influences around you,
Its hard to stand by your own principles,
Your own character,
Your own personality,
Your own identity.
We come across something that we like,
We tend to want to integrate it to our lives.
We come across someone that is better than us,
We tend to try to be better or be like that person.
We come across something that we cannot achieve,
We tend to not give up and try to attain our goals eventually.
With all that,
We change.
When people change.
What do we see in them?
A change of personality and character?
A change of identity?
Then again,
Is it a change,
Or a facade.
Did they really change?
Or is it just a temporary shift.
Will they change to something else when the next time you see them?
Maybe they are just being "adaptable".
So when people say "You've changed."
Maybe you would like to ask youself,
"Have I really changed?"
"How did I change?"
"Do I want this change?"
"Change for the better."
Sounds good.
But then, will you still be the you after changing?
Well yeah,
The identity of "you" still exists.
But the true essence of you is lost.
So,
Are you willing to lose your essence,
For a better existence of you?
Are you an essentialist?
Or an existentialist?
So,
Are you the true you today?
What about tomorrow?
Who exactly are you?
I have asked 16 questions so far.
How many can you answer?
Make it 17.
Oh a side note,
Change reminds me of something not really pleasant.
Hah.
Life resumes.
